The first time I was asked the question, "Who owns the learning in your school district?", I was very stunned. I couldn't believe someone would ask such a question. (Alan November asked the question). Mr. November asked if it was the school board, state, teachers, or students.
How would you answer this question?
Well, his answer is THE STUDENTS should own the learning. Do our students own their learning? Why or Why not?
Do you believe our students learn outside of school? This may or may not be academic learning.
What is your opinion of Digital Interactive Textbooks? Have you looked at any of the Apple Textbooks? If so, what is your opinion?
Will they or could they increase student motivation?
Digtital Textbooks that are Interactive will allow the student access to more than a paperbook. Could this increase our students knowledge?
What devices do your students currently have they would be able to use to access these books? (Student Owned Devices)
Would you be in favor of a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device).
